I keep hearing over and over I need to start meditating. It seems most people are convinced meditation is a worthy activity to practice and that they're living in a world that's moving too fast for them to process. They realize they need to slow their mind in order to have their best life. However, most people are still not doing it! This is hard for someone who does meditate to fathom, having lived the benefits of meditation.
If you fall into the category of someone that feels they "need to meditate" I have some good news for you! When you first start to meditate you pretty much do have to force yourself to do it, like eating your vegetables. The good news is, you get to a point where you want to meditate. You get to a point where you look forward to unwinding, and genuinely enjoy the peace. It's what you've been missing all along, and the only thing you need to do to get there is do it.
There's nothing to lose, and a lot to gain. Sometimes people are afraid they're not doing it right, just know that if your slowing down your thoughts you're benefiting. Your mind will wander a lot at first but that's ok: just try to draw your attention away from stress and focus on something peaceful. With TranquilTonic focus on the music. When you realize you're thinking about the speeding ticket you just got, bring your attention back to the music.
If you're constantly asking yourself how much time is left on this meditation (and you will at first), it's because like most people you're living a life that's so chaotic your mind is used to filling in every second with information. We're conditioned to think this way and this is exactly why most people realize they "need to meditate". Oh... and eat your vegetables! Peace!
